New times with newly installed Novi 2k...

Last friday night was the first time out with the new Novi 2k.

My previous best with a tko and n2o was 11.37 @ 121 mph w/ a 1.59 60ft. 1/8th mile on that pass was 7.27 @ 96.7. The car weighed just under 3400lbs on that pass.....

New time with an AOD and Novi 2k (stock pullies) was 10.92 @ 122.63 w/ a 1.65 60ft. 1/8th mile was 6.965 @ 100.79. I lifted from WOT slightly at the 1000ft mark to settle the car down (it was getting pretty squirrely). AFR was 11.0:1 going through the traps.

    I'm stoked!

FWIW, the combo is pretty simple....

    351w, stock stroke and bore.
Cast crank and stock rods. Heavy TRW slugs
    9.2:1 compression
    unported TFS heads
    unported TFS intake
    cam is 228/232 290/295 112deg
    75mm tb
    80mm ProM maf
    77# inj.
    255 intank pump
    NOS inline pump
    sn95 fuel rails
    stock fuel lines
built AOD with STOCK vb ( )
    PI convertor

There's SOOOOOOOOO much left in this combo, it's not even funny.

    Just had to share.

    Regards,

    Hey Mike W.,

DOOD, my buddy told me you were there and said to come by. By the time I was done with True Street, I went out on the pit bike in search, and never saw a DMP booth. I looked on Sunday too, and saw nothing. Where were you guys at? Did you leave early?

    Mike G.,

YUP, the same ol' pump is still kickin'!

Update.... won low 11sec avg at Houston FFW True Street with an 11.02, 11.10, and 11.00. The heat wouldn't allow the 10sec pass on Saturday.

On Sunday, the car went 10.87 @ 127mph! My goal is 130mph by the end of the year. We'll see. Again, this is on the combo listed above. The weight this weekend was 3435 lb.

    They rock, for sure!

Any word on those AOD parts? Need to start ordering stuff this week if possible. Trying to make the Clash on June 28.

    Regards,
