I seen about 8-9 on mine....but that is spinning "BALLZ" out of it!!..no pun intended LOL......it will self destruct due to heat especially if you dont run ann oil cooler on it....i made several coolers for my old blower

hes trying to make a piping for a procharger intercooler and hes getting a oil cooler
u think it will be safe with the intercooler and oil cooler?
He will see maybe 8lbs. If he puts a Intercooler on it with a 3.5" pulley and a 7" crank he will see probably 6lbs. but it will be about 12k rpm over the the units RPM range. If it was really a VR4 he would see more, but since it is just a SN2000 with about 780 cfm he won't get more boost then listed.
the VR4 could put out some boost in it's day, a buddy of mine had one pushing 13lbs.

I personally know of a couple of VR4's that made 14+ back in the day. He shouldn't have a problem making good boost numbers for a little while. The problem is that they don't last with the constant heat cycles of the street. The oil cooler should help a little bit.

With my power pipe and only a 3.75" pulley on the VR4 I can peak at 14psi with the 8 rib so I calmed it down with a 6 rib and a 4" pulley and it keeps it at 12psi at 6400 rpm so I shift at 5200 rpm to keep it at 8-10psi. I have run my car for hours at the track and my inlet temperature at 10psi+ has been less than my Dads Vortech A-Trim putting out 5psi. I use a nice transmission cooler from TCI that has AN-Fittings and also has its own 6" fan that I just turn on when it is cooling down at the track. I drive my car 25k+ miles a year with the VR4 and never a problem with the unit but have destroyed the 8 rib idler pulley bearing a couple of times.
I change the fluid every 3k miles or after each trip to the track. I have a article from Super Ford in the 90's and many drivers that had been on top ran the VR4 and with a Cog was putting out 16psi and even changed to the Novi 2000 and went back to the VR4 till Paxton forced them to change because they would not pay out cash for the old supercharger design. Now that is Progress.
oh yea he was wondering were u get the fluid at? isn't it Type F?
