3/8 NPT for the oil pan. Just make sure and use the heavy grease to keep the shavings on the tap. Easy job, sounds so much harder than it really is.

I'm not sure if Paxton is still including the punch, if they do it's a breeze.

My Paxton Novi 1000 kit came with a tap. I have the Novi 1000 kit that uses a single belt and I had to re-clock the head unit so that I could close my hood all the way

    1. Purchase a bypass valve, do a search on here for "bypass valve" and you'll have more than enough info.

    2. There was a recent post on how to make the stock FMU (included with the kit) adjustable. I would recommend looking into this as most of us run a bit "rich" while in boost using stock components & stock 5-6 PSI of the N1k

    3. Let us know what you are currently running for a 'combo" and it'll help us see if you may need any other essential parts. (ie: adjustable fuel pressure reg)

I'm also about to get a Novi 1000. My friend said that I will have to remove the oil pan to tap it, is this true? Everything else with the install seems pretty simple, except this. Thanks!

Nope, removal is not necessary. Drain oil, measure & mark, drill pilot hole, use supplied punch, slowly tap threads (tap packed with heavy grease), clean tapped hole, install threaded bung.

For peace of mind you can flush a couple quarts of oil thru the pan.

Walla, you now have oil feed for the s/c.

Sweet combo, should scream well when N1k is added and boost levels brought up from stock 5-6 psi.

BTW- Is your custom cam set-up w/ blower specs?

From your combo & resulting dyno #'s I'd say that you left alot on the table. With a good tune, I'd say that you'd be over 300 rwhp na'd.

i had some ele problems and my car was not running right
the cobra comp. i used for my mass air cov. had a bad ground
wire in it and i burnt up alot of my wiring harness thats why i only made one pull. but with a new comp and new harness and all new sensors it runs alot harder then it did the day of the dyno. i am hopping for 400 rwhp with the 1k
do you think ill be close?

I'd say so, but that's just an "off the cuff" guess. I don't think that 400 would be difficult to achieve, and if ya don't hit with 5-6 psi you can always up the boost a bit :D
