    8" crank on a new 1000

Well, I'v got the car back together and running. I just installed this new 1000, 42lb injectors and the 8" crank. I just took it for a rip and the most boost I seen was 10lbs, which is a less then what I was hoping for. I'd only see 8lbs until I took her a little over 6000rpm. The low end is kinda disapointing, I expected to feel a little more power before boost (cause I did with a powerdyne that was making 9.5lbs). She needs a tuning though, she's running really rich and I have the stock blower intake tubing right now. So hopefully once I get that dyno tuned chip and a powerpipe she will liven up.
Mods are RPM heads (1.90/1.60), typhoon intake, stock cam, stock bottom end, everyother bolt on.

Hi there, I was wondering if you had any install and clearence problems, did the 8rib belt for the 8" crank clear the water pump pulley and fan spindle and everything, are you running a stock water pump pulley, what size belt did you need? Thanks.

I was having no issues with this belt.
The belt # is 5080590, I'm not sure if that # is the same for all belts, this belt is a Dayco, also not sure on the measurements.

how much boost did you have with the original pulley?
89 Coupe with parts stacked inside of it and about 30#'s of dust on it with no end in sight. :weird:

    Although I am collecting parts for a 12.5:1 393 :D

I never ran the original pulley, I just installed the 1000 with the larger crank.
