quick question
What amount of boost would you put a b.o.v. on a novi 1k?

well, 2 parts to that answer KRS. 1st i recommend a bypass valve over a blowoff valve beause it recirculates the metered air back into the intake track, this stop a rush of fuel washing down your cylinders when you close the throttle under boost(as well as taking serious stress off the compressor as im sure your aware). the BOV just vents the metered air ight into the atmosphere.
secondly, a bypass valve can be & is recommended to be used at any or all boost levels. this really saves on premature bearing wear in your head unit as well as your main bearings. the bosch bypass valve is very affordable as well as the needed parts to install it. great insurance!

go back under the "1000 series" heading & lok at the 1st post stuck at the top labelled: "new members here". there are many links to threads here that touched on major subjects that seem to get repeated. there is a great link to the "official bypass thread". great info & pics there..........
