Belt slip? Bad accessory in the belt system slowing it down? what are you shifting at? have you checked the line to your boost guage? vacuum leak blowing boost out?

I had the same problem. Wrong size belt. It seemed to be tight but got loose at around 4 grand. Got a shorter belt and all is well.
