    belt

    i have a 96 mustang and my belt broke and when i put my new one on it walks off in 30-45seconds all my pullies are inline what could be the problem?

    It's not tight enough. You should always buy the tightest fitting belt you can fit on without stretching the belt. To do this, get a piece of string and route it throught the pullies and stretch it tight. Then measure the string with a ruler or tape measure and that should be around the size belt you need. Always buy two and keep one in the trunk! :)
