runs 12's w/novi 1000 & stock 5.0

I got my first 12 sec run with my stock 89 5.0 eng. with 95,000 miles. (12.90 @ 110.00, 2.0 -60') All of this without a tune. I did lose the FMU and replaced it for an Apex super AFC unit to control my fuel . I also put water inject. from snow performance.I now run 15 deg. @10 lbs. and the btm is turned off (91 oct. from QT)

1fstlx, good job man.............the snow perf. water inj kit is the same one im going with. do you have the stage1 with the nozzle replacement for flow or the stage II that has the adjustable spray adjuster? so you installed this & tuned it yourself? how did you know when you had the temps low enough to raise your timing that much? the 15* is initial timing right? did you bog before the timing increase from the water?

theres also SMC wich is also a great kit. it has an "in car" controller to control pump speed. very nice! SMC

there are others as well. auquamist is very common & has a good reputation too........

the snow performance kit I ordered was the stage 1 with 2 diff. jets .I used the smaller jet .The mixture is 50/50 water / methanol. You can buy methanol at the track for around $3.00 a gal. this kit comes with a boost control turn on switch. I adjusted mine to come on at 4 lbs of boost. I did try 3lbs , but it did bog a little. It kinda feels like a turbo car now , at 4 lbs it pulls harder than with out snow performance.
