    Fan clearance issues?

    My stock fan hits my blower pulley bad enough to beat the hell out of it. It has already ripped chunks of plastic off and I have only driven 2 times since the install. I was curious if anyone else had/has a problem like this and what did you guys do about it? I though about shimming the fan closer to the radiator, but it looks like even if I were to do that it would still hit so im lost?

    Is there any clearance to be gained by going with an electric fan setup?

    I dont have a clearance issue with the Black Max electric fan. My SC has a 8 rib pulley. I am not running the stock clutch fan. If you want to stick with the clutch fan and you are having clearance problems,, you can use a spacer... Bee

    Rip that stock clutch fan set up off and get yourself an electric fan that pulls at least 2500cfm+. Yes you will gain clearance going this route!

    Having the same clearnce issues.
    bought a black magic fan and it wont clear an 8 rib crank pulley.
    I tried looking up the "black max" fan without success.
    Did you come up with your answer for fan choice?
    let me know

    I have no clearance issues with mine. I'm running the renegade crank pulley, 3 core rad with the stock fan setup. I had approx 1/2 inch of clearance (till I tore the motor down). Only thing that needed clearance was the fan shroud for the blower belt.

    I run the proform electric fan, Summit p/n flo-67015.This fan flows up to 2800cfm has plenty of clearance and for $125.95 it's a bargain.
