WELL, stock tensioner setup just broke.

for the guys familar with my setup, i used the stock tensioner, welded it and put it in the march bracket to get rid of my ps setup. well today, the plastic pulley failed, spit the belt, and cracked the tensioner in half. i can email ya a pic to put up. so i ordered the 30040 setup from march. 139. so i hope it's worth it. i know 5150 is running it, or is planning on it, and it looks stout, so what the hell. FFW is saturday, so i hope it works well.:bonk:

Damn man $139, I saw one recently on the Corral for under $50. I think it was in the Misc. section, may be worth a look if ya can cancel that other order.

Well dude, bad news. The bracket sits much lower, and the pulley is small and you can figure out that = Belt rub on Wp pulley. Will need either some sort of additional idler or bigger pulley. I don't know what to do..................

Shoot me a pic of what it looks like installed if you can, maybe I can help ya figure something out.

Where's the "professor" when ya need him, lol. He could make a new pulley a bit larger & problem would be solved......

I just bought a stock tensioner which i am going to have welded tomorrow. Putting the 1460 march bracket back in until i can figure the other one out.
The 30040 looks awesome in there, but it will rub on the cobra pulley once the belt is tensioned. It looks good until the belt goes on, thats when you see how close it is. I wonder if anyone has done this setup before and had to make/fab something up? I would shoot ya a pic, but it's dark+thundering and lightening out.

it would be great with a pulley that was double in size of the one in the kit. The thing is smaller than a ALT. pulley. I was thinking of where to buy one with a bearing that was larger and looked similar, but not sure if March/ASP would even bother?
