    novi 1k removal this weekend

I will be removing my 1st gen novi 1k kit this weekend unfortunately. Need some cash to pay off a bill.

Anyhow, what size bolt do I need to buy in order to plug the oil pan hole it will have once the kit is removed, is it a 3/8”, or?

I need to make sure I buy the correct type/size so I don’t jack anything up.

    Thanks for the help guys,
    Ryan-

The hole is threaded for 3/8" NPT (National Pipe Thread), you can probably find a plug in the plumbing section of any hardware store.

Oh, why didn't I think of a plug instead of a bolt?! Thanks 5150!

Yep I needed to do the exact same thing..be careful when installing as there are only a few threads. Use a sealer and do not over tighten..

I am sorry to hear you have to sell the NOVI, you were one of the VERY first way back when if I remember correctly...

    Ian, you are very correct.

I will certainly be careful with it, because of the small number of threads. I'm not in the mood for an oil pan at this time, after having done a Mopar 318 water pump job last weekend... haha

There will be another day, either a Novi 2000 or my dream, a single turbo......

I'm still glad you have this site, its come in handy many a times... Ryan-
