99+ F150 SVT Lightning with Novi2k or...

I have been thinking of buying a generation 2 svt lightning for sometime. I dunno why, that damn truck just appeals to me!

Anyway, I have been prowling the nloc.net forums as a registered user just viewing and sponging up info on these trucks. I have read that many people with gen 2s use kennebell blowzillas for the gen 2s as an upgrade to the stock supercharger.

But I was wondering... WHAT ABOUT A NOVI-2000 on a 99+ lightning?

That would be awesome IMO.

WHAT do you guys think?

Some food for thought as to how these heavy *** trucks can be modded... check out this link that displays a vid of some guy by the name of JIM from JDM that ran his lightning at a best of 10.59 @ 127mph. This bolt obviously has mods done to it including nitrous, but utilizes the stock blower (pullied for how much? I am not sure)... Imagine a novi2k slapped on that bish!

Chris, I like em alot alos man. Very cool trucks. Jim D'amore, and jdm's stuff would be the only way to go for me if I had a bolt. I personally think the kennebell would be the only way to go. You need that instant there in order to move those big boats. The novi idea is cool though. I just don't think the truck would behave the same down low. Now on the top, get ready to hang on, but I don't know about down low. One thing to keep in mind is that the stock rods are in jeopordy even with the stock blower and a smaller pully. Just somthing to think about.

As I have read, the lightnings supposedly have better/stronger internals in the 99-2000 versions of it versus the 2001+ models. Don't know if that is 100% fact or just rumor. I have seen a few threads discussing that.

A good point of missing power down low. But as the rpms go the novi 2k would be killer!

What about a single tubro? Boost is there like underwear with a turbo! Hmmm? Maybe with a build JDM block low compression and a turbo, I wonder what type of power that would produce HMMMM :D

I must say Kennebell superchargers are just wicked torque fiends and sound CRAZY when they are under load! 2nd fastest gen 2 guy out there is trapping 122+ with a kennebell and no juice.

If I was going to upgrade the blower on a Lighting or a '03 Cobra, I would go with the KenneBell. It's a direct swap and they can handle 20 psi - no problem!
