    dynoed yesterday

i dynoed yesterday and we got 465 rwhp at 5500 when we ran out of fuel. It is absolutely amazing what a dyno and a great tuner can do. was car was so rich on the first pull it wouldn't read on the dyno!!!!!!! we got less than 300hp,and after 18 pulls we maxed the fuel system out with a safe 11.2-11.4 A/F ratio. so here go the upgrades!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ken

Wow, that's great work Ken... You are going to need to be carefull with your block being on the border of cracking. That's some damn good power... time to hit the track!

yeah, my tuner warned me about the block. i quote---"you're driving a dam hand grenade, all you need to do is up the power and boooooooom, the block is gone!!!!!!!!" he also suggests that i invest in a dustbuster and a magnet...................wonder why?
RAN OUT OF FUEL---- i have a 255 intank, and the procharger pump inline, i believe the lines, fuel rails, and the injectors are serious limitations.
Detonation------ are you sure its detonation, my car was stumbling and cutting out at about the same area, it turned out to be the injectors reaching 100%. Also, i learned that the grounds on the car are seriously undersized, which affects a lot of things.
UNIVER------ i am using the 80mm--- in the beginning, my tuner said oh no what a piece of junk!!!!!!!!!!! but as he played with the tune, he got results that he didn't expect, and he finally admitted that with TUNING that it was a dam fine meter that had a lot of potential.

I know what it's like to hear that from a tuner... my tuner (although I haven't taken my car in for the final tune yet) told me the same exact thing... he was like whoa man... this thing is stout... I'm may have a hard time keeping it down low enough so you don't crack your block... you need to be careful. I still am not sure just how carefull you can be driving a rocket, but whatever. Anyway, your car sounds fun... just be carefull with it and get that fuel delivery problem taken care of!

got my new Pro-Motion TKO and beyond tranny in last nite and tried it out. ran great up till 3rd where i blew off the intake tube and pigged the car out. learned something from Procharger yesterday. We had problems maintaining boost on the dyno so we unpluggged the blowoff valve. I followed Procharger instruction and found out i had the valve in wrong. You can put the valve in either way and it will work until you reach over 6# and then it will bleed off if you are backwards. to check for the proper function----- go to the intercooler side of the valve and make sure that when the valve swings shut it is seated against the set screw, this will make the boosted air press against the seat and make the seal tighter. if you are backwards the boost will actually swing the valve open slightly against the spring on the valve. hope this helps. ken

I'm confused... can you explain which way the valve goes in a different way? Which blow off valve are you talking about? I would assume you are talking about the aluminum tube-type one that has the little butterfly valve in it, but I want to make sure. I have no problems seeing 12lbs. of boost... does that mean that mine is installed the right way? I have mine attached right to the discharge tube that comes out of the blower outlet and it goes to atmosphere... which end should be where? Thanx for the info Ken.

yes the aluminum tube type. check out the inside of the tube, if you can see a set screw that acts as a stop it is right. if not then it is probably in backwards. but if you are seeing 12 psi then it is probably right. take a pic if you can get to yours. do you still have it hooked up to vacum? ken

Yeah, your car is good for way more than a 12.00 with a 119 trap. Good goin' man... once you get that down, you'll be deep into the 11's easy. As far as the BOV goes... I didn't get a chance to look at it this weekend, but I am pretty sure that I have it right. I will take a picture for you if you would like to show you the orientation of it and the setup I am running if you want. Let me know. Yes, it is hooked up to vacuum still... otherwise it wouldn't be a BOV :)

yeah, i think i will change mine over to vent to atmosphere cause i am having a clearance issue with the vent tube rubbing on everything.
Launching on a new set of BFG drag radials was very tricky, i launched at 3000 and dead hooked it, so hard the rear suspension slammed into the bottom of the car!!!!! so i upped it to 3500 and it spun badly, so i dropped it to 3300 and thats when i pulled off my best pass. i dropped my tire pressure to 14 psi and then increased it by one pound on each run and my car seems to like it at 17 and the shocks firmed up to 3( from 1) on the adjustment. any other thoughts???
