Buddy hits the wall at FFW (Ennis)

Just talked to my buddy that took off on Fri. for FFW at Ennis and found out that he hit the wall at the 1000 ft mark, apparent (from his take) his g/f ran two cars ahead of him in the same lane blew a radiator hose, followed by a 15 sec ride and then my friend.

From what I gather the people he spoke to after the incident said he was on his way to a solid 9 sec. pass, he tripped the lights in the other guys lane at a 12.0X after smashing into the wall.

What a *****, this poor guy busts his *** at two jobs to support his habit and never has crap for luck.

Anyways, was anyone there on Sat.? He was running a purple coupe in the True Street class...

I didn't get a chance to speak with him at any great length last pm, how bad was the damage?

Thing that sucks is that he just got thru having a cage installed, a full motor build with a Dart block and a bunch of other crap. This guy quite possibly has worse luck than Dave88LX on the Corral when it comes to cars.

at a local all ford day at New England Dragway, a brand new lightning pickup spun from out of the hole, all the way till 3rd gear smoking the rear tires, but then it got sideways, he backed out of it and it smashed the wall very hard. not a pretty site....

Update- my buddy came across a decent rolling chassis that is pretty well set-up, coil-overs, mini-tub, 4-link, yada yada. We're swapping motor and trans over this weekend and he's got the wrecked rolling chassis sold back to his mechanic. I have to admire this guy for his stamina....
