i need to be comforted right now

Today is very sad. I was driving my newly built motor and newly painted mustang and I smell rich fuel. I quickly cut off the ignition next thing i know i see flames shooting out of the cowl. i quickly stop open the hood and flames are just shooting up. The car burned for awhile until someone close to the road had a fire extinquiser. I haven't even drivin the car for a month. Once the car was out, i looked right down on my fuel line connection on top of the manifold... It was split. My car is not really burned except for the hood and right fender. The engine bay has most of the wires burned. I am so upset. I just finished painting it this summer and just put the motor in. Both projects turned out well except for today's tragic event. Its been fun guys but i won't be asking questions about my S trim for a long time.

    sorry to hear that dude.

everyday(just about) i worry about stuff like that happening to me. sometimes(often for me) things just don't go as planned, or even close.

hope you can get it back together soon.

I am sorry to here about this!!! Now dust yourself off and get back up and make her come alive again. Do all those things you wanted to do the first time. You cannot let this beat you. Add some nice ghost flames to remind you how far you have come. I have friend who had this happen to his 93 cobra, catch on fire very much like yours and her made her better than stock..

Thats terrible, sorry to hear. Now build it up again, and buy a fire extinguisher (sp) to keep in the car.

I will have one in my new ride. Everyone else should consider doing this.

Man that's rough, knowing my luck something like that will happen to me after I get my POS together again after over a year of it being apart.

Yes, that's horrible.. however we all have our setbacks and try not to lose any sleep over this, just dust it off and get her going back to normal.. besides, it's only money, right? Egh.
