    Here we go again

My good friend Henry came down from L.A. last weekend to watch us go racing(he was too much of a wuss to bring his car). Anyway, he called me up a few days later and made an interesting proposition. He wants to trade me his car for mine. He wants a reliable fast street car. The only real problem I see is his stock shortblock.
Tell me what you guys think.

    His car

    Wow - very interesting...

I think you should trade and buy my 306 :D

Really though Henry's car is kick *** and he is a very nice guy. I was asking him a million questions when I was going to go with a renegade kit.

How attached are you to your car? Are you looking for something new?

Actually Ian, the thought never crossed my mind. I am attached to my car, but his car is also very nice. I'm sure he'll chime in here and tell us all his thoughts. Its just that my car has turned into a garage/track car and I wouldn't mind having a flashy race car. The thing that I can't overlook is how much money I have tied up in my motor. I have about 13K in receipts for the motor alone. Its a very tough decision. His motor is built, its just that it has a stock block. Pushing 18 pounds of boost through a stock block is a time bomb waiting to explode.

VERY true - you not only loose your baby and very expensive motor, you also have to buy a real block for Henry's car..

keep the blue coupe! Doug it rips! all it needs is a wild paint job and i bet you'd smoke him anyway!
89 Coupe with parts stacked inside of it and about 30#'s of dust on it with no end in sight. :weird:

    Although I am collecting parts for a 12.5:1 393 :D

I know my car is quicker(his has went 9.7 the way it sits). I really don't think I will trade him. Now he wants to throw in his 408 that he has in his back halve car(its getting a big block). Henry bought that flame car from a mutual friend of ours. Henry rebuilt the entire car after he bought it, including the paint job. It use to be a blue Saleen clone. I have been racing against that damn car since about 1991. It was a 10 second car way back in the mid 90's before Henry bought it. I guess it has some sentimental value to me even though I've never owned. I'm waiting to see what other offer Henry is going to make to sweeten the deal.
