t-body -- if you already have a 65 or 70, keep it. Like everything else it's a trade-off, the 70 should give you a car length or two, the 65 will have better throttle response on the street (less of an on/off switch, if you like corner carving).

MAF -- with no eec tuning, go with the Pro-M 77, the Univer, or maybe the 80mm bullet if funds don't permit those more expensive meters. The C&Ls seem to be hit or miss usually miss, on the 42# cal. If you will be chipping or doing other eec-tuning, go with the 90mm Lightning meter or the Univer if going blow-thru. NOTE: the Lightning meter will not work as a simple bolt-on with the 42# injectors, you must enter the Lightning MAF transfer curve into the eec.

    Steve,

What did you decide to try?

Why can you only get 92 octane i thought you were a helicopter mech.

Must be lots of good gas at work no?

No we burn Jet A. LOL I put that in my powerstroke though.:)

I know for sure I am going to be doing the fuel pump and injectors. Probably a fresh ProM to go along with that. I am kind of up in the air about the throttle body at this point. I may try a bigger one though since I will sell my old stuff to offset the cost.
If I can get it tuned right I will have my 11+ PSI back on. Still plan on using the stock computer(no chip). I will probably also try a different cat back over my D max superturbos with dumps.

Most people I have talked to have said changing the intake is a total waste of time with my unported P heads. I would still like to try the new RPMII though.

Obviously the tranny will have to be fixed.:)
I think I will also keep the E cam for now.

I think once you get it to run good with the 11#'s you will be very happy.

I get 10#'s in the cool weather and it screams.

my engine combo is gonna remain the same except the pro-m 80 and sn95 fuel rails. Now i might be able to step up to a mighty mite or a PA with a brake and think thats' where you and i have been lacking steve. Btw i see 10 lbs @ 5900 and i pretty much love it! Feels like it's ripping the track up when you finally get a good 60ft.

    My opinion:

You don't need more than a 65 mm throttle body. My car trapped 128 mph and went no faster with a trackside swap to a 70.

A quality converter with a stall speed of 3500 rpm or so.

The intake is not hurting you at all. The heads are. Get almost any aftermarket aluminum head and you will make a ton more power. I had Twisted wedges.

Most importantly, are larger injectors (36's or 42's) along with a chip and wideband tuning on the dyno. I picked up almost 90 RWHP when I did this.

I also ran a C&L 73, but I do think you can't go wrong with a larger meter, especially on a blower car.

I also think "straight through" mufflers only help turbo cars.

    Hi,

Boost and fuel will get you there. I would run that 7.5 pulley you have, and either swap the 30's out for a set of 42's or keep the 30's and add an FMU (try a 6:1 disc maybe, altho you might have to jump up if it's lean). Next, swap that 190 intank for a 255 (Walbro GSS340) and I think you'll get close to where you wanna be. And lastly, dont know what you run for total timing, but if you wanna slip some race gas in there, then pump up the timing. Between all these things, I know you'll see at least 45 more HP (and probably a lot more than 45).

    Hope this helps,
    Jim

    Thanks Jim

I am trying to talk the old lady into a set of aluminum heads so the plans may change little.:)

None the less I am excited for next season.

    I smell a Christmas gift!!

Steve, if you decide on some 36# injectors, I have a set that was on my car for 6 months last year. I'm going bigger and don't have any use for them.

No problem. They've been collecting dust for about 4 months now so I thought I would try and unload them on you :)

I have never made a full pass with the roll bar in the car brent. Fuggin transmission is broken when I launch the car on ET streets. Weird though becuase it drive fine on the street.

Before next season that trans is going into the round file.
