My shortblock is up for sale. The shortblock is being refreshed and rebuilt after 1500 miles for this sale. I just spent $800 to clean the block, polish the crank, hone with plates, brand new race bearings and more!
Block work:
1988 5.0 Roller block
Hot tanked, and sonic checked
Bored and honed .30 over with torque plates
Paralleled deck block to crankshaft centerline
New cam bearings and plugs
Piston pins have been bored and fitted
Complete assembly has been balanced to 28oz
Block has been drilled and tapped for both main and head studs
Clevite race bearings, race rings
Internals:
SCAT 4340 forged crankshaft
SCAT 4340 forged H beam rods (5.4)
Probe PRS blower pistons (19.3 CC dish)
ARP main studs
ARP head studs
ARP rod bolts (12 point)
Other parts included
PowerBond balancer (balanced to assembly)
Stock flexplate (balanced to assembly)
Comp timing chain
ARP flexplate bolts
Ford chrome oil pan tapped for blower return.
I have spared no expense on this awesome 306 long rod motor. It has the best of everything! I have spent well over $3500 on the work, parts, and extra components.
