    slowing down a d3r?

I have a 12rib d3r and a 5.5" driven pulley. It is the biggest procharger makes and it still makes 18lbs of boost at 7000 rpm's. I had a custom pulley made for the crank that is 1/2" smaller, just wondering how much it will drop the boost?

why do you want less boost. is it street driven or only pump gas. the d3r is to big then. spinning a blower much slower than its optimum will hurt your efficiency. your spending a lot of energy to turn that monster. hell, my theory has always been to get a blower that has about 75% rating for horsepower that is my goal and then spin it just under redline.

this usually ends up being the biggest blower i can afford at the time. :-)

heck, put some 120 octane and spin it up.
