I bought a 91 LX and i plugged out the mass air and the car idles fine, so i figured they had in a speed density cpu...I changed the cpu with the A9L in my 93gt and plugged out the mass air again and the car still idles perfect, what gives?

Nothing gives. The car will idle with the MAF disconnected.
It will run like crap though under load, had a faulty plug on mine once & it took me forever to figure that one out.

The car really idles like a speed density with the mass air plugged out. When i unplug the mass air on my GT the car just shuts off.
I'm researching. Seems like half of the computers don't use the mass air at idel, but the other half do. I'm digging, cause this could make a huge difference in tunning.
