    Novi on 302 to a 351.

Whats the deal with the brackets, could the Novi1k on my 302 bolt up to the front of a windsor without any probs or could I run into any other kinds of probs?
    Thanks

I'll let ya know in about a month:D

Doug said all of the bolts will line up except for the bottom one on the block. I'm gonna give it a try.

Yeah the bracket will only be held on by the head though.

I was looking into this for the future as well.

I'm gonna try and run that way. If it chucks belts then i'll try and fix it. If i can't fix it i know alternative auto in MI makes a windsor bracket.

I figured maybe the lower hole for going into the block could be slotted out for the increased deck height. Kinda ghetto yes but better than nothing.

I am sure some sort of bracket could be added to attach the main bracket to the block. You could also run a blower support from the bracket to the shock tower as well..

I believe Vortech and Paxton share the same main bracket.

So the Alternative Auto one would work if you wanted to go that route.

    Thanks everyone.
I went and looked through Alternativeauto.com, and they didn't have their products section running, so does anyone know a part # or know what kind of price they are- so I don't have to call.

I'v heard there are motor mounts that can allow for a 351 to be tucked under a stock hood, is this rumour true?
    Thanks again

I'm pretty sure the base is universal between vortech/paxton. I'd be willing to try the strut tower brace for sure. I'll know for sure in mid january. The rumor on the motor mount is true as i just recieved a set of hpm 3/4" drop motor mounts today.

OK BOYS! what am i gonna do about headers? remember i have a panfill C4. Anyone have a windsor/fox pan and some headers to spare? LOL

The t5 headers and the C4 headers are the same. The AOD headers will not fit your car.

The Vortech, Paxton, and Powerdyne back cast brackets are all very similar and can be interchanged. Fred/Blue91 had a Vortech back bracket that was originally modified by Alt Auto to mount a Vortech on a 351w. I borrowed his bracket and too it, along with a new Vortech bracket, to a local fab shop and had them copy it. Both of us are using these brackets to mount our Novi 2k's to our 351w's. I wasn't able to use the lower block bolt hole because of a couple of issues.

    1. I'm running a 9.2 deck 351 instead of a 9.5 deck
    2. I don't have a hole in the block at that location

The red bracket is Fred's/Blue91's. The plain aluminum one is mine:
