I don't know why everybody always rants and raves about how much rwhp somebody else has. Torque is what you feel, not horsepower. Better yet, lets all just compare time slips and see who got there first.

Carrol Shelby once said "Horsepower sells cars and Torque wins races" :D

I believe that to be true. When it's torque time there no replacement for displacement.

that also might be a typo. Like they got the figures switched? thats what i though when i read it.

I haven't read the article, but what was the rpm that the number was measured. My current combo makes about 600rwtq and 400rwhp at 4000rpm.

this is on a 302 i take it? sounds like they got the rwhp and rwtq switched to be honest. An S-trim is not gonna make that kinda torque on a 302.

It'll happen for me too brent. until then it'll be some gt40p's or just 40's, cheap intake, and a cheap cam with some boost. :)

well, I hate to be a disagree'r, but you are wrong, back in 98, my stock block S trim combo made low 500rwhp with 688rwtq(tq was at 4000rpms if I remember correctly) thru an AOD with a 3200 converter. its all in how you tune your car, I for one like to make as much torque as possible and let the HP fall where it does in a conservative manner. but thats just me.
