I wouldnt say that, just stating facts that its not impossible for the torque to be that high, and yes I have been doing it for some time now.......hehe.

Well in that case i love being wrong because that is awesome! Big torque is what i'm after anyway. Maybe you could give me some advice for the 351 i'm putting together. I'm really looking for cam/converter reccomendations.

i agree, i think its a vice versa deal, that torque number is way odd especially for a centrifigal setup

I don't know personally of the quality of the engine builders. I know mikey mustang bought a dss shortblock in the beginning of the year you may want to PM him.

spence, that is some amazing torque. I'll have to get in touch with you about that combo. I like Brent, am going for torque, and think horse power is just a by product.

    Thanks UNTCHBL

DSS: at the time it was only a stock block and an A4 block when I did mine, there was no sportsman Block or R Block etc. After I broke the stocker I went with an A4 and have run it ever since.

As far as my combo it was pretty simple.
    306
    TW mildy ported
    AFM B4 cam w/1.6 rockers
    cobra intake cut and ported
    75mm TB
    83mm MAF
    42lb injectors
    HD S trim w/cogs 19psi
AOD with 3200 PI converter. PA valve body,
    PMS
    3.73s
weight with driver 3485 full accessories, street driven ALOT.....hehe.

I stand corrected, the car made 505hp/600tq with this combo, it ran 10.18/134.7(http://www.hartracing.com/1018pass.mpg) then we added an aftercooler and 50lb injectors, it ran horrible at first, then we tuned it to mid 500hp and upper 600tq, then it broke the block soon after, never got a full pass with it tuned, it broke first.......hehe. the setup was very mild by todays standards and technology, but very fun on the street.

spence, that thing had to be a monster on the street.

I never had much luck with my 50's either really when I was messing with them and the pms on my black gt. sold the car before I could get all the junk running right. :)
