I don't know if you've checked neil but i'm putting together a 351 this year.
89 Coupe with parts stacked inside of it and about 30#'s of dust on it with no end in sight. :weird:

    Although I am collecting parts for a 12.5:1 393 :D

when you get your cobra pulley, i would take it to a machine shop/machinist and have him grind the outer ring down a little bit. you will find the pulley isn't perfectly rounded and needs to be trued up a little. the fit with the 8 incher is tight as hell and any little out of roundness will make the pulleys rub. not a pretty thing....

I will definately keep that in mind when it comes in. I am trying to get this blower pulley off right now. Anybody have any suggestions?? I don't have any air tools, so this will have to be done by hand. Does the nut come off in reverse like all other nuts do? We used air tools to change it out at a friends last time. Any help with this in the next hour or 2 is greatly appreciated. trying to get this shipped out today before I leave.

I can partially bring you up to speed:

    Ian's doing a dart block 428
Chuck sold his Novi 1000 and is stepping up to something different
    Brent's doing a 351
Steve (468LC) got a new set of heads
Brandon (UNTCHBL) has been thru more mustangs than I can count :D
Troy (ssj50driver ) got a bunch of new parts and is now broke
Dan (Whistler) is enjoying his winter lay-off
    and......

    Mine still doesn't run:D

damn, that's a nutshell. thanks bro. i am still in the process of finding a coupe. i am going to look at a 92 4cyl on saturday. i have been focusing on work and family and the car has kinda been on the shelf for a while. but the enthusiasm is back(along with a healthy christmas bonus from work) so hopefully i will have my own tales to tell soon enough.

Awesome! I think I'm gonna try the 3" blower and 8" crank pulley combo by mid summer. i know i'm gonna get a N2k before the snow flies next year though.

Unless you have a bunch of dumba**es working at your local Ford dealer, you should be able to just order/ask for a w/p pulley for a 93 Cobra. Would be the easiest and quickest route to get one, unless you live in Abilene Texas :D

Have an update on the 8" pulley. Called ASP today, they want $225 for a custom made 6-rid 8" crank pulley. No thanks. They have an 8-rib 8" pulley in stock for $199. Still more than I planned on spending. How did everybody seem to get their pulley so cheap, and did you get it through ASP? Anybody know how to get one cheaper through them, or anybody else?? I really have my mind set on getting one, but things are tight enough as it is, and really can't afford to throw down another $60 more than I had hoped to spend.

If I didn't have a 3 month old at the house, it would probably be pretty easy to come up with the extra $60. Guess I will just have to put away what I have, and wait till I have enough to get the pulley. Anybody see the 8-rib causing me any problems?

lol Chris, try having 3 kid's. I'm was a happy camper when we were down to just one in diapers, I swear we were spending close to $40 a week for diapers alone.

Just curious, did the person you spoke with at ASP understand that it was for a single drive belt and not the duel set-up??? That $200 plus seems quite steep and I swear that a couple others here just recently got the 8" 'er for closer to $150....
