RdRunnr ran 50 lb injectors which he ran up to approx 675 flywheel hp. I believe he started to run out of injector pushing those numbers. That should give you an idea on how much HP the 55# injectors can handle.
I would not use the suggested injector sizes for the HP listed on that MSD site, I think they are WAY optimistic and actually somewhat dangerous. Not that my car is an exact example (every car is different) but my 83# injectors are at 86% duty cycle with 70 lbs of fuel pressure and I'm not making anything close to the HP they are suggesting. Those numbers must be derived from some "formula" that is calculated on a strictly theoretical basis. My advice is to ask people that have real world experience when choosing an injector size for your combo, and even then proceed with caution.
