    D1R Renegade Kit

Just bought D1R renegade kit yesterday with 8rib and 2 pulleys. the guy told me one makes 14-15psi and the other one make 17-18psi at 7000rpm on 306ci with unported heads. just wanna know what is the size of the pulleys, crank and the upper ones to calculate my supercharge speed. Does it make more boost if i have ported heads?? thanks
    new combo:
331 dart block with forged internals
afr 205 and holley systemmax intake
tremic tranny and 3.73 gears and other goodies, shooting to atleast 650rwhp

larocca's performance web site has the calculator on there. i'll post the exact adress when i get home tonight. 650 rwhp should be easy for that blower, i'm looking for 650-675 with a regular D-1 and a cog set up.

sorry it took me so long

how high you looking to rev the motor?

what cam if you dont mind me asking?

with no other changes and the same pullies it should read less boost, but will make more power. even with ported heads those blower are easily capeable of 25+ psi.

IMO, if your going to try to make only 14psi at 7000 rpm you are going to be underspinning the blower. 14@6000 should be do-able though. that blower was designed to make big power, and while it can be turned down, its still going to want to be spun to a degree.

i think 650 rwhp should be no problem, mabie even on the low side depending on rpm and pullies. i think you should have an 8" crank pully already with your kit, i would give the 4.25 blower pully a try. the 4.50 would obviously make less, but might take the blower out of it's "island" at lower rpm's, causeing it to be very lazy downstairs. if you have both you could try the 4.50 first, but i would think the 4.25 would be about where you are going to want to be.

thanks alot, am shooting for atleast 650 at the wheel and if i couldnt make it, i would conseder cog that makes around 22+psi .. I've seen people have 600 at the wheel with same head, strock and ys blower with only 14psi. ys make 1500cfm, and d1r makes 2000cfm that will give me more flow which means more power. thanks freezy74 for ur help and i will let u know as soon as i get my FAST, maybe somewhere in 2 weeks hopefully

how have you made out? is the blower on the car?
also, if you havent found this already, the formula for blower speed is

crank pully X engine rpm X step up ratio / blower pully

    example

    8.00 X 7000 X 4.44 / 4.50 = 55253
