Not really sure Frank, it's one of those issue I will address when the time comes, I ran across a thread that indicated that there is a ribbed pulley but I can't recall the OEM application. I'm gonna try it this way 1st and if it doesn't work then I'll source the ribbed w/p pulley.

Not really. Lots of guys do it.

If it bugs you, call up ASP and get a grooved waterpump pulley.:)

Make sure you get a belt to fit that new blower pulley! :D Its looking great! I have been debating dropping my smog pump and ps also. A/C is already gone. I think once I get a new Cobra, I'll drop the power steering. I think I put 50 miles a month on my car now.
    Looks great!!

Chris I have that new hi-tech adjustable belt via the vise grips :D

If you are at 50 miles a month it's time to drop all that crap and go with the simple clean set-up.

Well I found out that the w/p I got for an 84 mustang is also a Reverse Rotation pump. Here's a pic of the new belt routing using and idler pulley off of a March A/C delete that I had laying around.

I like the routing a bit better this way as it adds a bit to the tensioner range and allows for a little more belt contact on the crank pulley.

And yes I'm still using the vise-grips :D
