It "Can" do that and "Safely" ! :D

The weight of my car tops 3500lbs in race trim and it traps 126.53 mph, if you do the math .....thats over 500 HP at the wheels.

    I believe with a 1.54 step-up at 6000rpm's its turning 53,400 rpm.
I don't know the maximum impeller RPM on the NOVI 1000 but i think i read somewhere thats its over that.

Iceman, meet Frank. The baddest N1k MOFO on the site! LOL

Frank the 1K with the 8" crank and 3" blower pulley(assuming no slippage) turns 55and some change@6000. I'll probably have that pulley combo before it's said and done.

IMAGINE WHAT A 2OOO WOULD DO?
89 Coupe with parts stacked inside of it and about 30#'s of dust on it with no end in sight. :weird:

    Although I am collecting parts for a 12.5:1 393 :D

thanks Brent, I thought it was around there somewhere and a safe RPM. ;)

I would love a NOVI 2000 but I am saving for a DSS Pro Bullet short block.
I'm also painting my G/F's car in 2 days and thats also expensive. Its a 89 LX vert.

55k is correct, which typically works out to be around 15#'s max boost. I'll be running a 6.5" crank pulley(F-150 pulley) and a 2.75" blower pulley that I picked up from Chris_H. I'm hoping for around 13# or so.....

i want 10 psi from 8" crank pulley and a power pipe. ive been told that will get 10 psi easy.

Really depends on how the motor is built, if the only change was going from 302 cu inches to 306 cu inches, then I'd say the gain would be minimal. However a properly matched 306 combo would make a profound difference.

Not much other than a much better seal with new pistons and rings. It used to be vortech was the cheapest to get the 8" crank off of but i'm not sure now. You might check summit, vortech, and ASP. You might get a little sticker shock on the 8" crank price but believe me, IT ROCKS THE HOUSE!

If you are looking for an 8", there's an ad here with a link to e-bay for it last I checked it was under $80.
