sounds good. I am planning to do the same over the summer so i have a few quest.
    1. did you buy just the block or is it built.
    2. what type of piston, rods, crank, ect. are you going to be using
    3. why didn't you stroke it, i was thinking about a 331 or 347
I am tring to decide wheather or not to have some one i know build it or if i should just buy one already built.
I like the afr's i was thinking about going w/ the 185s also
how much power do you think you will get out of the combo

i bought a short block with all forged goodies

i didnt stroke it because i wanted to have something eles do do later on-you know something to look foward to-all right enough b.s., i didnt have all the money at the time of the order

as for as how much power i was hoping someone else would know

from my calucations- time spent X money invested / effort
i should be running in the high 15 sec range :p

Ditch the e cam and get something with split duration. That cam was designed 10 years ago with no intentions of forced induction. Comp has some nice blower grinds. The TFS stage one is pretty decent costwise, too. I'd do something with lotsa lift to take advantage of the flow capabilites of the 185's, personally.

apv, right on! ecam with 1.7rr and the AFR185's will run very well! The intake will make awesome torque, but if you want the big HP #(i assume you do since you got the 185's over the 165's) is get one of the newer updated intakes. You don't have to spend 600 on the holley to get a good one either. I've see the $399 dollar TFS intake intake make alot more HP and TQ than the GT40. There was a very good supercharged intake dyno test in 5.0 and superfords not too long ago and it is filled with great info. I LOVE THE WAY GT40'S LOOK THOUGH! :p

everyone has different views to make power but that is why we have discussion boards. ;)
89 Coupe with parts stacked inside of it and about 30#'s of dust on it with no end in sight. :weird:

    Although I am collecting parts for a 12.5:1 393 :D

Congrats on the purchase. You will be very happy with CHP!

I would also go with a different cam - Trick Flow Stage 2 would work very well.

There is something magical about the e cam. I will use it until I die lol.:)

That car should go tens with traction and a good driver.

all right so i have ordered my motor and i got to thinking about the apperance of the car

i was orginaly going to put a mach one hood and the overly done saleen wing(dont think i do not like it, its just on so many stangs)and do a five lug convo with some 96 cobra wheels

well i have decided to ditch my plan and keep the stock hood and wing. i also decided to keep the 4 lug and rock the ponies

when i get my new motor in i want people to look at my car and say

"ahh man, its just another 14 sec mustang"

you know go with the sleeper look
