Seals on Autorotor 2089
I recently picked up a used Autorotor that based on its size I believe is a 2089. It was in working condition when I purchased it, but definitely leaking oil from the gearbox -- oil is all over the rotors and flooded the laminova ic. This is not a Kenne Bell unit -- it is labelled autorotor and looks like the european units I have seen in books.
I would like to get new seals (viton) but have no idea where to find these. I thought of sending it in for a rebuild but for $600, that seems awfully expensive just to replace some seals. I know that Autorotor strongly recommends against doing this without hiring an autorotor trained tech, but I am willing to risk it unless someone convinces me it is a really impossible job.
Any ideas on where I can pick on the seals, or else get a basic overhaul for less than $600? A service manual would be nice too. :D
Thanks! Great forum btw.
