No. IMO there is nothing wrong with a TKO shifter. Also the tremec has stops in it already so you don't have to worry about that. The shifts are plenty short with it as well.

If you can find a cheaper price shipped then tell Darkhorse that on the phone. Don't just go by the site. He will match. Thats how I got mine from him for 1399 and he didn't even bat an eyelash to lowering the price. If he doesn't have one in stock it's probably all a moot point anyway though.:)

i don't see the TKO's listed at 50resto. all they have listed is the new 500 and 600. does the prices you saw include the yoke?

Can't say for sure about the yoke. The TKO is listed in their current Latemodel RS Catalog.

    slider buck,

For what it is worth. I have a TKO with 3 summers of 510 rwhp and a start this summer with 631. Each summer there was about 12 or so passes on it with 4,000-5,000 RPM launches. SPEC III clutch is the way to go.

So if you considering paying extra for the new tranny due to hpconserns, you should be fine. However, anything can go at any time.

Look at www.x2cmotorsports.com for their TKO version. These hold serious power and price isn't bad.

i know a guy who has 712rwhp with a tko and it has been holding up just fine too. when he launches he pulls the front end in 1st and 2nd gears. he's had it in there for quite some time now also. i'll probably just look around for a good deal on a left over TKO from someone.
