    Anybody?

Anybody have pics of their Pro-M blowthrough MAF for ATI? Just got mine today and it straight looks like a piece of exhaust tubing with the electronics. Is this right or did I get jipped? Here are some pics...

    Exclamation

Did you get it from e-bay or something. It looks like one made with stock type electronic. A Univer samples from around the edge of the meter at 360 degrees(Not saying it's supposed to be a Univer).I've never seen one like that before.I say at first glance you got ripped. But I'm not familiar with the earlier production pieces.

Well I called Pro-M direct and was told this is the new MAF for our ATI cars. Was also told that it performs better than the Univer. so we'll see once I get her in. Wish me luck!!!

mine is the exact same way and I was thinking that they took exhaust pipe and cut a meter into it. don't worry about appearance because it will be mounted in the fenderwell anyway. Your tuner will love you for buying it because they work awesome...supposedly better than the universal according to my tuner. a little tip for you when you install. face the electronics back toward the tire since it meters a less turbulent airflow in this position.

something I noticed about your sig.

the P1SC-2 is what I have and it makes 13lbs of boost at 5800rpm with the 3.40 pulley. I don't know what pulley you have but expect more boost than the regular P1SC regardless. those 30# injectors are probably not gonna be enough to feed the beast either. you may want to seriously consider 42lb'ers.

I just ran a draw through type when I had the P1SC. No problems at all.

Thanks showstopper!!! Mine is pullied for 8#'s right now. Are you running 42#'s with no FMU? If at all possible, could you shoot me your set up? Trying to get as much info on set ups as possible. So I need to install the MAF with the electronics facing the tire? What else would you think I need for my set-up?

Thanks again for the reply guys!!!

we are a little different in that I run it on an 04GT. my combo is very simple. stock motor with 75mm Accufab, TFS plenum, 42lb injectors, the blower with 3 core sheetmetal cooler, ProM ATI solutions meter, custom burnt SCT chip with 14 degrees timing and 11.8:1 AF ratio amongst other tweaks. I would never run a FMU on any combo. to me thats more of an old school fix for a problem that can be tuned out more accurately(unless there is no tuner in your area or within towing distance). my car is a true daily driver and has plenty of power on demand. the only other mods on the car are SLP catback, 373's, and an Aviator fuel pump. Nothing exotic about my car's mods and made 413rwhp 409rwtq. every tuning pull on my car made over 400rwhp the day I brought it in, thus making it a true 400hp car not a one hit wonder.

I am still waiting for my WMS power pipe to arrive which should up the power a little bit more. I also plan to do SLP longtubes and hi flow cat pipe in the near future. realistically I expect around 440rwhp after these mods go in the car and that will be more than enough for a while.

No tune yet. Put her on the dyno this past Saturday and it made a conservative 361 RWHP & 377 RWTQ. When I mean conservative she was only spun too 5200 RPM and A/F was at 10.0 (Rich as hell) Saw only 5-6#'s of boost. Thought she would go lean so I made sure Allen (guy who owns the dyno) watches the A/F and if she decided to go lean, too shut her down. Fuel pressure wasn't spiking at all for the drive to the dyno so I had my doubts. A/F was at 10.0 from 3200 - 5200. I adjusted the FMU and still got the same A/F reading.
Wanted to pull the FMU and make another run but because of the stock dampener, I decided not too. More to come.....
