I ran my stock axles for a season pulling low 1.5's. I never dumped the clutch though, I always loaded the drivetrain and let the clutch out quick and smooth.

Back on subject....That car looks mean and great mph!!!!!!!!

    Thumbs up

    Ian,

FANTASTIC! Have you thought of using the new MT drag radials. At a recent event here in San Antonio at San Antonio Raceway I was told that Mike Murillo in a 87-93 white turbo'd automatic stang was hitting 10's w/130+ mph with those drag radials. Think that stang in particular is a new toy or possible a customer's car. But its first pass was a 10.00 and keep in mind he was using those MT drag radials!

Ian, you car looks killer and congrats once again!

Drew: LOL you are starting to scare me bro :) I will get on the dyno ASAP.

Chris: Thanks :) I think I will keep the Nittos for this year and use ET Streets for the track. Next year I will be sporting the MT Drag radials.

I'm also going w/ MT drag radials next year, after seeing my friend w/ 03 cobra getting low 1.6's on a 275/50/15. BFG better go back to the drawing board LOL ;)

Ian, I see you have no foglights....have you considered mounting fake ones? Buy the foglight covers from GTStyling and paint the insides black. Mount them to a bracket in place of the spot where the fogs go. It would finish the package! I did almost the same, but my fogs had holes in them from stones and the glass is all smashed basically. I put my covers over to hide the ugly fogs!

Those are pretty good times for a portly GT with a not so good driver ;).

I wouldn't worry about the stock axles too much. AOD cars aren't too hard on them unless your using a trans brake. Maybe you should let Chuck drive it so he can feel what real HP feels like.

    BTW
Mine only runs about 128 on the motor, so your almost there. The only difference is that mine hooks.
