    Intercooler ?

I have Dennis Reinhart S/C Kit which comes with AFM power pipe and 42lbs injectors. I'm installing a Fast Track Air to Air intercooler. How much boost will I loose with the intercooler. I currently see 10 pounds, will I drop? If so Is that bad?

    Thanks

Intercoolers usually cause a 3-5lb loss in boost.

so say I lost 3lbs of boost with the intercooler, Now instead of 10lbs I have 7lbs of boost. I should make more power right?

Also should I get another pulley to take me up to 10lbs of boost?
Or is that to much boost for my stock bottom end?

    Thanks

Sorry it took so long to get a response Kurt. From my understanding, 7lbs of intercooled boost (measured after the intercooler) will make more power than 7lbs on non intercooled boost. However it won't make the same power of 10lbs of non intercooled boost. I would get a smaller pulley and go for 10lbs after you install the intercooler. Now the success and safeness of your combo will depend on your tune. If you don't have a chip already, I would spring for one. If you do, then have your car retuned. Hope this helps.

Just finished the intercooler install, now all i have left is finish the gauges. I should have it complete by tomorrow.

Hey Billy, I do have gears, 3.73 work great with my auto trans. I know people claim 4.10 gears with auto but I think it is to much for S/C cars with auto. I guess I'll know tomorrow:D

Ray, I have a 8lb pulley withy AFM power pipe, which is good for 1-2lbs of boost. This should put me at 9-10lbs, right? Now with the air to air intercooler I should loss what? 1-2lbs? But if I loss that I still should make the same power as a 10-11lbs boost with no cooler, right?

I say all this because I'm concern that the intercooler will cancel my power pipe out as of performance gains.

    Thanks for replying guys.
