    blower help, new guy here

I have a 89gt conv, it has a center force clutch , mac heads and hpipe,3.55 gears and some little odds and ends. Iam looking for a good blower for the street stripe, one that can be turned up later after some more mods and done.

I was looking at the novi 1000 and vortech sc trim. Are there any problem they have a lot , what one is louder, what one will make the most power at a safe boost.

what kind of power gain could i get if my car runs a 14.2 now

thanks and soory for the questions

Either one of the blowers you listed are excellent entry-level blowers that will respond favorably to mods down the road. I'm partial the the Novi but the Vortech unit is a nice piece as well.

I would venture to say that 12's should be easily attainable.

    I would look into a Novi 2000.
Drag Racers go straight to the finish line. The other guys drive in circles looking for it.

Whether you go w/ either entry level blower or a bigger unit, it really depends on what you are planning on doing. So, what are you looking for?

I want to use it for my every now and agian driver but would like it to run in the 11-12 sec range later. It will see a good bit of track time but most street time.I been a turbo buick guy for some time now and never had a super charger. I guess 400-500 to the wheels would be nice later.

a friend has a novi 1000 and the housing cracked on it, just checking if its something to watch for or a freak thing that happened to him.
