Well Guys!!!! Its finally ON :)

The BDS 6-71 Blower is on the 383 chevy Mustang :)

I put it on at my friends house, and I tested it on his road tonight, and blew the collector off the header!..... You see my headers are 2 part! They have 4 tubes that come down, and another part slides over the tubes, and brings it to 1 piece! Well it has 2 spots for bolts so it doesn't come off! They havent been in in a year! Now 1 of them blows off!

I fixed that, and I am hopefully going to drive it home tomarrow!

This is the picture before I added the blower! I was messing around with photoshop!

Here are the pictures I have at my friends house!!!

That's definitely a unique ride you now have Mark. I think it came out great - can't wait to see what it does in the quarter.

Thanks guys, I think I am done for awhile! Although I do need a paint job!

David, I won't be taking it to the track, because around here with a blower like this you need alotof restraints.... I would like to know the time it would get, but it don't matter all that much! I know it's fast!

Jorge, Convo Pro's are awsome looking :)

And , no sleeper look! I am going for the unique look :)

Mark why on earth did you go with edelbrocks as a blower carb?

Also IMO the big giant bug catcher is too much for my tastes.

Ok now that that is out of the way. I love it. I have alwasy wanted to build a 6-71 powered machine since I was a kid. It makes centrifuguls seem like childs play in the cool factor.

How does it run? Have you checked the tune on it? I don't wanna hear about blown headgaskets. You know old roots blowers = giant heat generators.:)

Holley's are great for race blowers! This is more of a street blower, and holley's can't handle the street!

Also I like the bug catcher! :)

I have only been able to run it 20 miles back to my house! It runs great, and the street tires get 0 tracktion if I put it to the floor! Maybe the ET streets will do better!

I had to change the lower pulley setup v-pulleys, and blower pulley's! I did that yesterday, and I changed the spark plugs! Today I need to fix my water temp. fitting "It leaks"! Also the distributor is leaking slightly! I had to use shims, because they had to make the hole straight on the intake manifold, and with them doing that I had to add spacers! Well what I forgot to do was put a gasket under the spacer :)

The heads on my motor is AFR 227 with Stage 3 porting! Check out it's specks http://www.airflowresearch.com/pages/227sbc_rh.htm

They say it's the baddest 23* Standard Port Head!

I'm in for a load of fun, and will enjoy going to car shows after I get it painted!
