    Installing vortech s-trim ASAP ????!!

Installing vortech s-trim supercharger, AFM power pipe, & FMU.

I kept 24lb injectors & MAF from previous mode (not calibrated to the supercharger applications), 190lph fuel pump, & no inline T-rex fuel pump.

    Problem #1

Blowing The Dip Stick Tube Out Spitting Oil Underneath The Hood.

    Problem #2

    Detonation at 4th gear.

    Problem #3

Front tire touching the fender inner cover after installing the power pipe.

I appreciate the helps & tips from experts that lead me to achieve the power from the charger

    Problem #1 -

Too much boost pressure entering the crankcase. You need to install a check valve between the intake and the PCV valve. In the latest issue of MM&FF (October 2004 issue), on page 99 they installed a turbo kit on a fox 5.0. Now if you turn to page 107 and look at picture# 29, you will see where they installed a brake booster check valve inline between the intake and pcv valve to prevent unwanted boost pressure entering the crankcase.

    Problem #2

You are going to have to get the car on a dyno to get the air/fuel ratio in check. Sounds like you are leaning the car out too much when you get on it in 4th gear. You are going to have to add more fuel by installing the T-rex and via an adjustable FPR and reduce timing.

    Problem #3

My power pipe did not hit the inner fender. You will either have to re-adjust the power pipe or cut/remove the inner fender liner.

The PCV valve allows excessive crankcase pressure to evacuate into the intake manifold under normal engine operation. When you add boost, this actually can reverse itself and pressureize the crankcase. The PCV valve is in the back of the lower intake manifold right next to the firewall.

here is my solution for the valve cover vent.

3/8 inch hose to a 3/8 inch inline fuel filter, to the inlet side of the blower.
fwiw I have the baffels in my valve covers as well.
