    NEW BEST ET

Was at the track yesterday and set a new best E.T. for myself of 10.80@125.19 with a 1.619 60 foot. Running 92 pump gas and 24 total timing @ 15psi. I need to go to some 28 inch tall slicks. It would just stop pulling in third before i got to the line. Made 5 passes and I was abled to drive it home this time!

    my combo

I have a 1991 AOD hatchback with a 1975 windsor block. It is an eagle kit with a forged crank, H beam rods, and srp forged pistions. The combo is a Procharger D1 3 row intercooler, bbk 75mm t-body, egr delete plate, trick flow upper and lower, world windsor sr. aluminum heads, approx. 9.1:1 comp, comp cam 282 retrofit roller .513 .526lift 230 236 @ .050 110 lobe sep. roller rockers, Mack shorties, 2.5 bbk off road h pipe, flowmaster 2.5 cat back. I am running a paxton pump like aeromotive a1000, 8an feed, 6an return paxton regulator and rails, RC 50lb injectors, msd digital 6 plus, msd coil and msd distributor, Accel dfi gen 6, lentech valvebody with transbrake, ger 3200 stall which I leave at 3600 with, flaming river manual rack, D&D k member and a arms, x2c coilovers, x2c upper and lower control arms, stock rebuilt 8.8 with 3.73's and 26" MT et streets.

Anyone have any input on the cam procharger says to go with a 114 lobe sep. Would I notice any difference?

I thought 112 was a good blower cam, but if I am not mistaken a 114 gives you a better "smoother" idle??

other info would be appreciated :) I could be totally wrong, but thats what I think! Although I think the bigger the seperation the rougher the idle...... I don't know "It was worth a try"

I do however think 112 is a good blower cam! Atleast thats what Comp cams told me! Also a good friend who has a few blowers!

28" slicks are nice, but you should be able to get the 26's to hook better then that.

RSnovi what kind of 60' times can you get, or what is a good time for a mustang? What do you run for tire pressures?

I have gone as good as a 1.34 60' time. Most of the guys in the Real Street class average around mid 1.3 60' times. They are all on 26X10 slicks. Plus these cars are all stick cars with diapraghm clutches so that makes it even harder to hook.

With the AOD you should be 60' around in the 1.4 - 1.5 range with a good suspension setup and a good converter.

    FYI:
With my near full weight 90 GT (cobra) and an strim 351 on 26x10 drags through a TKO with 3.55's I was able to get High 1.4 60's. The slicks hooked great.

Those 60' times are amazing, doubt I'll ever see 1.40's. How about tire pressures?

10.5 - 11.5 depending on track conditions. I have found that 11-11.5 generally works the best.

I usually run 11.5 to 12. I also have tubes in mine. Supposedly makes the sidewall stiffer and the car smother up top. Never ran with out tubes on these tires so I can't compare. All I can same is my car goes straight and doesn't sway.
