    help

    Somthing wrong with motor... did compression check,..every cyl.reads 140.
    all valves are brand new along with all retainers and hardware on heads..springs also.

    car is smoking like a crop duster.
    its non exsistant during idle but as soon as you put a load on it it looks like a dump truck in first gear.oil is spewing out of the breather somthing feirce...yet nothing is coming out of the pcv.

    plus the car breaks up real bad above 5k... sounds like butt.

    someone help!!!

    308 v1 s trim canfeild heads e cam.
    head gaskets and valves & valvetrain hardware,p rods and new lifters alll have less than 3 hrs on them.. motor has 5k

    MAYBE ??? cracked a ring (broken ring ?)

    wouldnt that show up on the compression test and leakdown that i did?

    fmu? timing? fuel pressure? Spark plug gap? we need way more info.....you may not have a " big " problem but maybe some little ones that up pretty big.
    89 Coupe with parts stacked inside of it and about 30#'s of dust on it with no end in sight. :weird:





    Although I am collecting parts for a 12.5:1 393 :D

    no fmu,.. 42lbs,..on a chip.. 10deg with 38psi.

    left gap alone,.. on old combo saw no diff. with gap vs out of the box....
    all msd ign.

    you mean you have your plugs gapped for N/A?? This could be your whole problem. Did you just put the blower on?

    no,...i have had the blower,... i highly doubt spark plug gap will cause this huge a problem... i norm gap to .30-35 there at 45 now... vortech told me awile ago that gapping plugs isn't necisary with msd.
