    Pullies / Boost?

I am buying an S Trim in a few weeks. My question is what pulley combo will make near 8lbs. of boost. In the future I will up it to around 12 or so, but I ran out of money to upgrade my fuel system. I am going to be running 24lb injectors and FMU for the time being with around 8lbs of boost. The pullies that are coming with this kit are 3.33, 3.15, and a 2.97 or 3.00 with an 8" crank pulley. The 7" crank pulley is damaged and can't be used. Is there any combo with the 8" crank I can use to make near 8lbs? Any help is appreciated!!

    Thanks,
    Ryan

The 3.33 should give you 8lbs, 3.00 10lbs and the 2.97?,, about 12,,, boost levels differ and it depends on engine efficiency and altitude... Lee

I doubt that any combo with a 8" lower pulley will make under 10-12#.

For exapmle I had a 6.87" lower with a 2.95" blower pulley and saw 13.5# @ 6000rpm. I just switched to a 8" lower with a 3.33" upper to reduce belt slippage. The impeller speed with the 8/3.33 is 2000+ rpm higher than the 6.87/2.95 combo. Even with a 6.87" pulley you will need to run a 3.33" maybe the 3.15".

I can hook you up with a deal my old 6.87" crank pulley if you want.

U should make way more than 8 w/ the largest pulley(3.33)@6k rpm & 8" crank pulley. The SC w/b turning 49729Rpm's also.Vortech says the max efficiency is 45k & absolute impellar speed of 50K....Soooo you'll b at the ragged edge...

Depending on your combo and a few other things, yes.
