I know this indicates something but Im not sure what. Help!

This is on my GFs TRD blown 2001 Tacoma. Lately the truck has not been starting. It will turn over and die. Then I recall something about people holding the gas pedal to the floor to bypass something in the ECU. I tried this and the truck fires up and runs great. The truck has a Spilt Second FTC which is like a Tweecer and it has the stock mass air meter and Ford Racing 30lb injectors. I vaguely recall something about if the computer loses the program it wont start because it forgot what size the injectors are. I dont know if thats true. Help me out guys, what does this mean again?

You have to hold the gas pedal down like that because of the size of the injectors. I'm not sure what the stock size is for a Taco, but now since you're getting all that fuel from 30lb'ers, you need more air to get it to fire. If it was a big problem for you, burn a chip for the ECM to correct the injector size. So just hold the gas pedal down to open the throttle plate so you can get the extra air that you need for the larger injectors. It also wouldn't hurt performance if you had the mass air calibrated for 30lb'ers to match the injectors.

LOL, it turns out that it indicated the IAC valve needed to be cleaned out.
