Looks cool to me. I would use one if it was cheaper than those that you buy.

The Swill Crew Chief, Dale George, figured he could build the same thing for $200.

    Oil kit

Who has a pic of one? Why would one want to do this? Just more crap that could break.

It isolates your blower oil from your engine oil(doesn't draw from the pan - separate resevoir). So when you chunk your motor MiTe-dog, metal and other motor pieces won't get up into your YS-trim and damage that too.

yep ! if it was not enough that your motor lets loose costing you
x000 dollars you loose $2000 for your supercharger unless your
fully sponsered ,and you dont care mabey about 5000 ,it just cheap insurance in my mind.

Would a good filter do the same as far as protection?

yes ,but runing stand alone would ,have the avantage of cooler oil,oil not broken down from engine oil less heat= more hp

Would like to know Vortech's opinion on this. Ricky if your reading this what's your thoughts on this. The Vortech's weren't intended to be self contained like Prochargers or where they? If 20-50 oil is good for our engine does that mean the V will like it? Or is 5-30 better? What weight oil does V test'em at? Self contained would be good also if you **** the blower's bearings and a aftercooler to catch impellers when they touch down, or at least the big stuff. :D
