    AFMs new Meth/Water Injection Kit-Opinions

    AF-0201 $169.95

    New from AFM, methanol/water injection. Mr. Freeze is simplistic, yet effective. Being activated by boost and metered by jetting, Mr. Freeze is easily optimized. Mr. Freeze is an easy bolt-on for all centrifugal supercharges and turbochargers. In initial testing, AFM has documented up to as much as 90 additional rear wheel horsepower using 93 octane pump gas. With the proper tuning and 100 octane racing gas, Mr. Freeze was capable of an additional 115 rear wheel horsepower! See dyno below.

    Failure to re-tune the combination for the Mr. Freeze System will result in a loss of horsepower. Here's the best part, you can buy the methanol/water mix for as little as $1.99 per gallon. At $169.00, nothing on the market today can offer you the horsepower per dollar value of Mr. Freeze.

    For cars already properly tuned on pump fuel with the PMS
    using a centrifugal supercharger:

    Make a base run and watch the Air Charge Temp in the PMS and write down what it is at max boost. After installing Mr. Freeze, make another base run and again watch the ACT in the PMS at max boost. You should see a drop of 60 degrees or more. Given these results, on average you should be able to go into your PMS and lean down WOT fuel tables by 6% to 10% and add about 9 to 15 degrees timing at WOT or in the boost tables.

    This should get you close on the tune.

    If you guys are interested in a little more input on this subject, the folks over @ the 3rd gen Camaro forum were using it on thier blown apps. one of the guys used it quite a bit with his centrifugally supercharged small block. http://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/foru...php?forumid=15

    I picture that AFM system producing a minor dribble of water, what with just manifold/blower pressure pushing the liquid. Does this system pump water right into the blower scroll for its atomizing? FWIW a "real" water injection system uses an electric water pump that produces anywhere from 120 to 200 psi water pressure.
