Ahhh nevermind, I didn't pay attention to the 8in crank pulley. Expect the car to haul a$$.

Single belt with 8" crank pulley on your set-up will get you closer to 15 #'s, the 8" crank pulley puts the Novi 1000 nearly at it's max impellar RPM.

    lx-convertible,

How much boost do you see with your combo? I'll be adding a new 2 belt Novi 1000 kit along with 8" crank pulley, AFM powerpipe, 80mm MAF, 42# inj, and a Bosch bypass to my combo below very soon. I'm expecting to see 10-12 lbs of boost, is that a fair estimate? I'm hoping not to see the 15psi you guys are telling sgtsin he will see. But my guess is my heads will flow better and create less back pressure than his ported stock heads therefore reducing the amount of boost I will see comparitively.

Also, were your dyno #'s made through an automatic? It seems as if you have told me previously you run a C4 but that may have been someone else. Those are some pretty stout numbers. Thanks for any info, Ryan

those numbers were through a tremec 3550, my new project car will inherit the motor but run a built c4. i made 15psi with my setup.
your estimate sounds right given that the newer novi has a larger blower pulley

even if the heads aren't ported, you should make 380+ ish with a good tune.

two belt 1000's-w-8" cranks rock! ZERO belt slip, awesome belt life, and decreased tire life. :obscene: :D

I ran the 1000-w- the 8" crank and it prolly make 470-480@ the wheel's with TW heads, Holley2 intake and the TFS#1 cam.
89 Coupe with parts stacked inside of it and about 30#'s of dust on it with no end in sight. :weird:

    Although I am collecting parts for a 12.5:1 393 :D

You should not have an issue with belt slip, the 8" on the single belt set-up is the ticket!! You can always add a 100-shot like Goliath did ontop of the 15#'s
