    Blower Mufflers

Anyone have any input as far as any power difference(if any) betwen muffs?? I getting ready to build my 3" set up and am still undecided on what mufflers to run. Sound/note isnt a major concern, power is. It cant be TOO loud though.

I have heard that the Dynomax ultra flow welded are an excellent choice for forced induction applications.

They are a striaght through design and I have heard a video of them they are a little noisey but not to bad.

A recent article in one of the slicks ( 5.0 Mustangs and Fast Fords?? ) did a dyno test of over a dozen different mufflers on a high-hp 5.0, and found virtually no statistical difference in power for any of them....except that an open exhaust didn't make as much power as the mufflers did. Choose a muffler based on sound, looks and cost - for most applications that is what matters.

Here is a good site explaining why modern mufflers perform so well: http://www.boyleworks.com/ta400/psp/exhaust.html
