    Bosch Bypass Valve Part Number

I just installed my Bosch bypass valve today. I picked up the valve from the parts counter at my local VW dealership, pn 06A-145-710N this is the 14lb spring. The cars idle smoothed out, and the valve helped out my cars diveability more then I expected. I spent a total $60, on all the necessary parts, I'll have some pictures soon. This is a definent must upgrade for us NOVI1000 users.

I put the 110 Bosch on mine with the install. Never had any issues from the start, so it seems to be a good idea.

I just got back from taking the car out for a little spin, along with the bypass valve, I cleaned out a few major harness connectors. My car feels COMPLETELY different, it's easily the best it's ever ran. The idle, acceleration, quick stops, all have changed for the better. I forgot to mention that I still have all my smog pump accesories, and the valve set-up clears it all without a problem.

That sounds exactly like what I need. How much boost are you running? Also, did that come with everything you needed? I'm very interested in seeing pictures.

It only came with the valve. I should try and get some pics up tomorrow while I'm putting in my BBK AFPR. I'm running about ~7lbs of boost. All you'll need to get is 3/16" vacuum hose, 1ft of 1" id heater hose, 2 3/4" 1" barb npt pvc fittings, some hose clamps, and a vacuum 'T.' I'm going to put on a UPR PowerPipe, so as long as I dont exceed 14lbs of boost, the valve should hold. It was easy to put in, only time consuming while driving around getting everything, and tapping the hole in the discharge tube.

My belt is pretty tight, and it's blowing thru stock/ restricted everything. My boost went down when I changed gauges. I was using and AutoMeter boost guage, and now its vacuum/boost, and it doesn't read as high as it did. But is reads around 6-7psi.

That hose will connect to the powerpipe, what the bypass does is recirculates the excess metered air from the discharge side of the blower back to the inlet side of the blower.

yeah, the one going down is hooked into the plastic intake tube between the maf and blower, right in the middle of the elbow pointing straight toward the firewall.

I didn't want red hose but it's what they had...lol I'm going to get some better fittings and make a new intake pipe, we just got a brand new $350,000 cnc mandrel tubing bender at work :blob: I'm going to make one that goes into the fender well. Going to make a new discharge pipe too. I'll just TIG some 3/4'' IP couplings on for the bypass connections.
