Vortech now sells a 10 rib 8" setup. The part number is 8E021-295. This is for a 10 rib 8"crank and a 2.95 pulley. This should get you the boost your looking for. They also make the kit in a 2.85 or 2.75 SC pulley configuration. Just change the last three number in the part number accordingly. The 2.95 is as large as they make in the 10 rib kits, I believe. They may make a 3.13 but I don't think so. So if the 2.95 is to small you may have to have a custom made 3.13 from ASP. Or IAN if he ever starts back up. You can bead blast the pullies if you need more grip. But I'd say you'd be fine to start as is and see how it goes.

    The 8" & 2.95 will put your blower at 58,007 RPM's at 6200

So you think the 2.95 will get me around 18psi. How much more boost is normally obtained going with the 2.75. That sounds like the kit I need. What do you mean "bead blast the pullies"? Thanks for the reply.

Let me ask you this! What size pullies and what boost are you currently making? I'm not sure what size pullies will get you that boost exactly. But these should be in the neighborhood. Maybe higher. I don't think you'll need a 2.75. You'll have to ask a T-trim user. I never ran a T. Just S and YSi.

Bead Blast. You can have the surface of the pullies shoot with glass bead. It improves the traction of the pully.

The difference between a 2.95 and 2.75 is probably going to be like 3 psi. But more issues with slippage probably. I'd say try the 2.95. Plus the t is only good to like 60,000 rpm's I think.

I just have the head unit. No pullies really except the stock stuff. Havent ran it yet bc motor is not done. I went to vortechs sight and seen the kit. I think I will try the 2.95 version. If it gets me atleast 16-17 psi with no slippage I will be happy. Trying to get this thing in the 9s with a 358".

Send a PM to regattacoupe. He is doing damn near the exact same set up. He'll give you some good insight.
