Serial Number on your Novi2k Head Unit

My old one was SN# N 05232. Had to send it in for a rebuild and they said the blower case had changed over the years and the seals were diffrent sizes. they offered me a new one at an exchange price of $1000.00. Looks real nice "polished" my old one was getting hard to pollish back up over the years.

Note: If a serial number has a -K it refers to the impeller being made of a kynar material.

I am looking to purchase a NOVI 2000 as an upgrade. I have been looking at a couple of used blowers. Can anyone tell me the significance of the Kynar material (good, bad, ugly). Also, one of the members said his case was "upgraded" by NOVI, when did the new style casing start being used?
Lastly, is there any S/N that I should definitely stay away from?

just picked this up on e bay 08250 polished finish brand new for 1000.00 this has the 10 rib pulley what did they use this one on? the model number is 1016410-p i bet the 10 at the end means 10 rib ??? but what about the rest?

i just learned that today as i have an older unit with a single bracket and when i went to install the dual brackets i noticed that the front bracket sticks out about an 1/8th of an inch.


does anyone here knows what the "N" stands for?

I've got one of the older units and other than some belt alignment issues I haven't had a problem with it. I bought mine used off of ebay and it was missing some parts that led to my belt alignment problems.

can you tell us about this belt alignment issue you had... what was the problem and how did you fix it? thanks. pk

Mine is from my S/C kit going on my truck, I got an old kit never used still taped in the box. Still in the plastic bag, marked 3/8/00 on it. Sitting for 8 yrs never used, odd right??? I got a smoking deal on it. I will have to get the serial # off of it tomorrow.
