Any soundclips of these units would help..Thx

If you really want to hear the blower get the V-1, no question about it. Regardless of which trim (SC, S, T, etc) of V-2 you have it will be quiet compared to the V-1 (straight cut gears).

is it possible to call vortech and order the straight cut spur gears that they use in the v-1 and buy them and install them in the v-2 unit?

    re blower

sorry guy the internals of a v-2 will not go into the v-1 or vise versa, vortech will tell you this as for hp rating they are the same the v-2 has a step up ratio of 3:54 to1 as the v-1 is 3:45 to 1 but the v-1 is more durable.
