Question I need somone who knows a lot to help me

i recently bought new S-trim kit, bbk full length, shorty mid pipe, BBK SSI Intake (waiting to be shipped) 70mm TB, 30lb injectors, 73mm c&l, and i'm about to make one more purchase to summit for a few odds and ends i missed. (in tank pump) for one. but i have a lot of questions about what i need to do as far as tuning to make all of this run correctly, especially with the fmu, i guess i need to get a recalibration kit for it. MY AIM screenname is MILL CREEK MAFIA. if anyone can help me out, i'd appreciate it a lot.

Depending on how much boost, your 30 will be way small. You'll need like 42's or 55's.
As for the FMU it will depend on the size injectors. Vortech's website has a reference for the recal kit for the size of injectors. Or if you get big enough injectors you can ditch the FMU.

    Next qustion fire away!

What is your motor setup? How much boost are you planning to run?

well see this is just going to be a street car, occasional track car.. at least until i lose self control and go full drag. I don't want to run a lot of boost, not on my stock short block. I got the vortech recalibration kit. basically 400 hp would be a nice goal for me. most of my questions involve tuning the s/c to run right after i get it installed.. thats my only worries off the top of my head right now.

If you want some fuel mileage equal to stock, Skip the FMU and purchase 42lb injectors.

Well a stock 302 short block (stock cam & heads??) with an s-trim and 8-10 psi 42# injectors and a good tune should put high 300's near 400 at the tire. And would very stock like to drive.

What stock like. That is till you put your foot in it. When I had my s-trim with 13 psi on 351 short block and lunati cam and trick flow heads w/ 42's I made over 500 at the tire and got 18-20 mpg on the highway and normal putting around was 15-16 mpg. With a good tune and even the cam I had in it, it idled smooth. Mine was tuned on 110 but was able to run 93 with the BR at 3. I usually ran 110 though.

My buddy has it now on his stock 302 short block and holley system max II and he has 55's but is pushing the limits of the s-trim with 18 psi and he made over 530 at the tire. His was tuned on 110 and alwayds runs 110.

Do you have stock heads and cam?? If so those HP numbers above are probably ~30 -50 high.

With 30's it should run pretty much the same as stock injectors.

Well the way it'll run (idle, street manners) should be about the same, however, they may not deliver enough fuel. You may be o.k., but near the their max potential. I misunderstood your question i guess. I guess if you only looking for 300 at the tire you'll be ok w/ the 30's stock will not be o.k.
